Details in Archicad 10?

Has anyone found it annoying that Section Markers can show the drawings/sheets they reference in the PLN but the Details do not?

Am I missing something? I tried all the Detail symbols that come with Archicad and they all seem to read the good old "PmAshNo"....

Might be time for a little GDL wizardry to see if it's even possible....

Tom:

I do not know what you are missing, but it works for me. I have attached a screen shot that shows a Section Marker (2/A3) and two Detail Markers (3/A3 & 4/A3) with the correct sheet references. The screen shot also shows my settings for the Detail Marker. If I can provide any more information, let me know.

Maybe this is a MAC v. Windows issue. I ran into the same thing as Tom.... On Windows the script for the detail markers is INCOMPLETE... it does not allow you to choose anything but CUSTOM (which is not the custom that allows you to type anything you want in there btw.)...

But even after scripting in the necessary REFERRED DRAWING, it still does NOT show the location (detail or sheet number) in the marker.

ANYONE? I need this to work immediately!

I think you have to place it on a layout and then it allows you the option.

[edit]

More importantly you need to have the "Refer to Drawing" boxed checked also.

Guess I should read the manual! Clearly a case of expecting it to work as it did in the past....

I realize now that you have to REFER TO DRAWING. By simply LINKING TO DETAIL... the program did not know which instance of the drawing to refer to (even if there was only one placed in the set)...
