Details questions

I have a detail drawing that is taken from a section via the detail tool. How can I detach it in the same manner that I can with the section (drawing, not linked)

If I explode everything in the window, will it explode in the section also?

By time I get to the detail, I don't think the level of detail is going to be noticed in the section, so it seems to me to be OK to unlink the detail?

How do you long time users do it?

Details produced by the detail tool are already unlinked. They are lines only.
