Hi, I'm learning Archicad for the first time and I'm having some difficulties with a building where the walls do not form regular angles between them. My main problem is with slabs and stairs:

1) Is there any tool to make a slab edge parallel to a wall? And after is done is there a way to lock the said edge to the wall so that when I move the wall the edge comes along?

2) Finally is there a way to make a stair with 1.5 meters wide at the top and only 1.2 in the bottom?

Thanks,
Luís

Hello,
Walls must be connected with the reference line node with node or node with any side of the wall in order to be connected. If in the floor plan you see that the walls are still not nicely connected try toggling the "Clean Wall and Beam Intersections" button. also you must set priorities to the walls composite structures.
Slab edges by default are on a 90 degree angle, and if you have a slanted wall on a 50 degree angle try clicking the slab edge in 2d or 3d and choose the "Custom Edge Settings" from the pet palette, and there you can set the slabs angle and material.
As for stairs there are many ways to make different widths of the flight. One of these is "Create Stairs Using Selection" this tool is in the Design menu, that you can use if you already have a fill made in the shape that you want your stairs to be formed by. And last go to: http://www.graphisoft.com/education/training_guides/ and download the needed tutorials to start using ArchiCAD properly. I'd recommend starting with Experience BIM. And leave the Collaboration tutorials last.
