Dimension Level '1st Reference point' text.

Hi,

Is there a way to turn off the (1st Reference Level) text that appears after the dimension text on my levels. I have set the above but do not want it to appear.

We have worked around by setting the user origin in each section window but it would be nice not to have to do this everytime.

Thanks

change the text to be something else . . . i have "RL" and "Sea Level" as my two alternative reference levels. project zero is always SFL of the 'ground' floor level of the building. "RL" is the datum point that the surveyor has used (which i rarely use) . . . which in turn is relative to "Sea Level".

you could always just make each a <space> character if you didn't want any text appearing . . .

The other way of dealing with this is to select the text element of the level by the node on the bottom left corner of the text and to edit the autotext entry which reads "<toL1value>(<L1name>)" and to delete the (<L1name>). You have to do this for every single section level, though you can select multiple dimension levels.

Sure, the best option would be to be able to edit this prior to adding the levels.

A small gripe for me is that the section levels of the dimsenion tool work completely differently from the levels of the level dimension tool for plans (obviously the programmers don't talk to each other).

With the level dimension tool you can't select the 'dimension origin' prior to placing a level, as you can with the dimsenion tool (section). They both need to be rewritten to work in a similar way and to give you the option of choosing the 'dimension origin' and any additional text such as <L1name> in the toolbox or info box prior to placing them.

Whilst on the subject, the story markers in the section window need to be capable of being referenced to the reference point levels as well.
