Dimensions to door frame have changed. What would cause?

I am drawing a floor survey of a nursing home. I dimension from frame opening, door to door in the hall. The dimensions have all changed to other reference points, such as the outside of the door frame. I saved the project and reopened it later to find out that this had happened. The dimensions are correct, as I redimensioned it to see if the doors had moved. what would cause this to happen and how can it be corrected without having to redimension? All of the dimensions have changed to the non hinge side of the frame and the outside of the frame instead of the door side of the frame.

We have found that in a specific view -Different view options, or Different scale, Door parts behave unexpectedly. It becomes obvious when Dimension string is hooked to Frame nodes which change location depending on scale, or when Model View Options change.
Please Refer to attached Drawings.

Condition: Door Parts Are Set to Be Scale Sensitive on Lower Door
Door Parts Are Set to Be Detailed Display on Upper Door
Door Parts are Configured as a Typical Hollow Metal Door Frame
AC12 and AC 11 doors in Each wall

In ArchiCad 11, the door parts can be effected by the scale. For example, if you place a dimension to 3’-4” door frame opening @ 1/8” floor plan -the door will show as detailed w/ double lined leaf and frame, the dimension will change to 3’-0” door opening width @ 1” = 20’ site plan as soon as you double click your site plan view in your organizer.
What happens is that if the door setting is to ‘Scale Sensitive’ and as soon as the door library part reaches a scale that need to display as simple, it will remove all thickness of door leaf and frame which also makes 2” frame to 0” frame, changing your door dimension to 3’-0”. Until you access floor plan w/ double clicking -I think this acts as regenerate model floor plan view in your organizer, this dimension will stick to the node and won’t come back to original 3’-4” which creates problem when you update your layout. The only fix that we figure at this moment is to set all door library parts be displayed as “Detailed” regardless of each view’s scale.

In ArchiCad 12 used to have this same problem, but since the latest Library Hot fix (2008-10-30), the scale change does not effect the dimensions, however changing model view option to show openings only does create same problem. As soon as the model view option kicks into view to display door openings only, the door frame nodes in plan that used to be located on outside of frame, moved in to the opening side, and makes dimension to display dimension w/o frames. While this Model View Options is active on your window, Any dimension to Door Frame Nodes, will display false information regardless of your model view option defined in each view If you update Multiple Drawings in the layout book.

I haven’t seen this behavior with Windows prat yet. however, there is multiple cases in this forum that dimension lines are shifting to other side or being relocated, which can be related to this matter but I can not confirm till I can duplicate this problem.

It’s still not as bas as it could be, since it does not change the actual parameters in the library parts that effects Auto Door schedules, which means that the changes are limited in graphical way. I’ve Notified of this matter to the Graphisoft recently which We hope to get fixed in short time. Mean while, we just have to be careful before plotting to check the door dimensions.
