Display / Selection Problems

I have recurring problems with selecting items such as over lapping line that ends at the same point as a node on an object. I can select a line to higlight it but when I grab it's endpoint to stretch it get deselected and the object underneath is selected. I am zoomed very close but there is no way the line will remain selected. If I close archicad and reopen it works as expected.

The same thing happens when I am trying to stretch a line a certain distance by typing r / distance. The distance is not registered and it stretches to the position of the cursor. If I close archicad and reopen it works for a little while.

If you use the stretch command (CTRL-H default, but I have mine set to ALT-S) you'll stretch it every time.

There seems to be a mysterious toggle between absolute and relative distance when stretching lines too (discussed elsewhere, but no time to look right now, sorry). Try hitting the SHIFT key while strecthing and see if your r-distance changes from stretch point to line origin.
