I am not sure if this is a feature, a bug or if I am setting it up correctly. I want to have a snappable construction grid with 1x1 mm gridlines, to ensure we get accurate and even measurements for our drawing.
But when I set the grid spacing to anything less than 5 mm the grid disappears. It still snaps, I can even set it to 0,5 mm precision but I get no visual feedback.
Operating system used: Windows 11

I just tried this in Ac29, and I seems to me that 2.0x2.0 mm and smaller grids are not displayed.
I tried a 2.1x2.1 mm grid, and that was displayed, a 2.0x2.0 mm grid and smaller was not.
This may be a hard-coded limitation within Archicad.

But why would you want a 1mm grid?
You would constantly have to zoom in super close to use it.
With your tracker, constraints and snap guides, you can specify the exact sizes you want.
I don't use any grid at all and have not had a problem.

Because snap guide sometimes snaps to arcs of circles or stuff like that making things slightly off, or colleagues/external consultants that draw sloppily and then we want to ensure we have 90 degree straight walls and exact meetings to make automatic zones work and to get exactly the same dimensions of things so they merge in schedules. This problem is even worse in project where two parts of the building have a slight rotation relative to each other, snap guides mess things up...
If Archicad would implement some sort of rounding issue that works in all aspects we wouldn't need it but right now we still have situations where zones won't fill a space, something won't merge in 3d or in a schedule because it is 0,00001 mm off... And using the snapping is the only way I know to consistently solve it.
