Door Schedules - No Hand Parameter?

Anonymous
Not applicable
In 8.0, the door objects had a schedule parameter that told you whether it was a Left or Right handed door. Unfortunately, it always filled the schedules with the letter 'L'. We added our own parameter to fix this problem.

But now we are working in 8.1 R2 so I thought I would see if the hand parameter worked. Unfortunately, I can't even find a built-in hand parameter. Am I missing something, or does it have some funky name that wasn't translated from Hungarian correctly?

Can AC determine the Handing of the door automatically?

I would like AC to do this for me as part of the door schedule.

Would I still be able to place doors with the center tool? Would I have to use the end point and three clicks?

How did the handing work in V7.0? Never used schedules in 7.0

i think that this is the global variable required to return the handing? i'm not the GDL guru in the office, but we've just recently used it to produce our own doors for just this information on the schedule.

i'll dig around and try and find out what we did . . .

The opening direction? Yes, when you place it, it knows.

Choose the insertion method in the Info box; you can do it even after you clicked the insertion point.
