Drawing disappear after updating

Anonymous
Not applicable
I confront a problem in the layout book page. When updated a drawing, the drawing become empty.

As the result, any changes on the model, I need to place the drawing onto the layout page everytime.

I have try the latest hotfix but the problem still there.

Thanks a lot.

Hi,

Is the drawing frame still there, or does it vanish completely? Turn on drawing frames in the On Screen View Options to help you.

A few things you could check -

Is the drawing on a layer which gets turned off perhaps? You can double-check what drawings are placed already by looking in the layout book in the navigator, and see what is listed.

Have you moved the section/elevation marker on plan so it is no longer 'looking' at the building any more?

Have you accidently assigned a layer combination where all elements are turned off?

You also don't say which version of AC you are using, on what type of hardware. Put this information on your signature permanently, as it is useful for diagnosing problems.

If the drawing you place is set to FIT FRAME TO DRAWING then it may not be on the layout sheet, but somewhere off the page. Try a FIT IN WINDOW to check.

I found out the problem should be caused by the outdated hotfix.
Now, after installation of the latest hotfix, updating the drawing which placed onto layout after the latest hotfix would not be disappear anymore !!! I am happy man now.

Thanks for all advices...... :.)
