Elevation Pen Types

The wall hosts a window;
The uncut line type of the wall dictates the outline of both the opening and wall edge thickness.
Is there a way to have that frame around the W2 window not have the same thick black line?

My overall goal is to have a strong profile line around my building in elevation without drawing that line, meaning it's a pen type of the wall etc.

No, this line weirdly enough comes form the wall itself.

But I agree that this is problematic.

You can easily test this by doing a GO for reno elements, where the door is new and the wall is existing. If the door has no closed frame the edge of the opening in which the door resides will be shown as "existing", which is wrong, misleading and horrorfying.

Imho a bug. I doubt we'll ever see a solution for that tho, at least not until GS finally implements the "openings-hosting-WiDo's" strategy. So maybe in about 8–10 years. 😛

Have you tried changing the elevation to a 2d drawing and then editing that line to what you want ?
