Karl, excellent explanation. I didn't realize that the name of the fill made all the difference. I tried using the fill number (solid fill 21, solid fill 91 and such) to separate the fills. I didn't put 2 and 2 together and realize that
If you use different opposing fills (such as air space and empty fills), there's no need to include a space.

refered to the name of the fill until this post.

A number of us have had a wish in to GS to produce a document that lists all fills used by all library parts/modules/templates along with the index numbers used in those objects so that we have a crystal clear picture of what havoc we might create before deleting/renumbering any of them. I'm hopeful that we might see that document some time by the end of the year.

It's now Dec 2007, two years later.

Has GS provided this tool that Karl mentions back in 2005?
I'd like the ability to delete redundant Fills without creating havoc.
Quoting myself again quoting Karl to repost my question.
Thanks.

Tempting as it was to quote you quoting you quoting me In the interest of space...no documentation has been forthcoming from GS.

Someone who had the time could use the GDL XML converter to build a database of all attribute index numbers used in all library parts and then generate a pivot table to produce a listing of which attributes are used (period) and which ones are used in which parts, e.g., fill index xx (insulation) used in parts a, b, c... I was hoping GS themselves would do this as a service to all of us. Seems like a good job for breaking in a new employee at GSHQ (hint, hint)

Sorry no other news,
Karl
