End of complex profile wall doesn't match material of sides

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello forum,
Is there a way to make the surface on the end of a complex profile wall match the material/surface of the sides please? I can't seem to click a wall end onto this, even though the complex profile contains a very simple horizontal datum to change materials otherwise is a plain 300mm thick wall.. Screenshot attached.
Many thanks,
Anita

In the wall settings, make sure you are not overriding the surface material.

Complex profile walls, no matter how simple they are, can not have wall end objects attached to them.

What you can do is just turn a section of wall with equal length to the thickness of you wall.

thank you for your replies.
in response;
there is no override on the end surface,
and in this instance, the latter suggestion of turning the wall on itself does also not show up cleanly on the model either - i gather this would work better when the complex profile has variable depth

What happened when you tried? In my example I had two same thickness blocks of the same brick forming up the wall height, with a different surface override for each as a Complex Profile. It worked for me regardless of the End Surface: Override setting.

If the wall end override is not on, then the brown finish must be a very thin skin in the complex profile.

The only way to return that on the end is to return the wall around the end as Ling has suggested.

Or add a column at the end.
In 24 you can add a segmented column with segment heights to match each of the bands.
If pre 24, then you have to add multiple columns - one to match each band.
