Footing in AC 9

Anonymous

Got all excited about using the footing object in the add on library and then discovered it does not "draw" (like you would draw a wall) but comes in in a predetermined shape in plan. What am I missing? Is there a way to follow the plan? AC 9 iMac G5 OS X

Thanks

I think in AC9, that acts as an accessory object and is meant to link to a slab.

AC10 is a lot better about that
Tom,

What is the method in AC10?
Profiled walls. Draw your foundation in section, extrude all over the place (as long as they do not curve in plan)

thanks tom.

i drew my footing and wall as one profile. however, the fill i chose (lightweight concrete) displays as a solid color in my profile manager preview. is there a way to remedy this?

also, can i create the wood frame wall that will attach to the interior as part of the same profile? what opening window openings?

thanks

Sounds like a Display Option to me. It could also be the current scale settings.

I'm not sure what you mean.
what opening window openings?
What about them?
