Grouping

Why does AC18 default to 'grouping'? I find this a lot when I know that I haven't consciously chosen this option. Or is it linked to another activity?

I've now imported a drawing from AC17 to AC18 and find whole portions grouped - and cannot find where to ungroup them. GGGRRRRR!

Moving a project from one version to another is a nightmare.

KeesW:

Make sure the command Autogroup is not checked (this works when elements are created).

Thanks David.
Are you saying that 'Autogroup' is automatically selected when elements are created? If so, why?

Kees:

I don't know what the default Autogroup setting is, just that you should not have it checked (active) if you don't want elements grouped when created. I prefer elements grouped (linked Walls, Beams, Lines), then Suspend Groups when editing individual elements.
