how do you guys put an image into 3d model? for exapmle, how to make a virtual painting or a label with text. to be more precise, i want to add that plain 2D picture into a project just like a poster on a wall.

... and have the image you want loaded with your libraries, calling it up with the Custom parameter.

You asked for a method to place a single image in a model.

1: place desired image in Library by making a new folder in the library called PICTURES.
2: Reload library.
3: Locate "Picture 10" object using Object dialog box and searching to find it: Path might be: Object Library>Pictures and Texts> Picture 10
4: Place object.
5: Open object dialog.
Set Custom picture name to your picture's file name.

Picture will represent in rendering.
