Hide stair below slab

I'm trying to hide the section of a stair that is under a slab. The part within the red circle in the image below.
There was a post about this 5 years ago and the solution then was to give the slab a white cover fill. I'm wondering is this still the only solution in AC 22?

You could set a break line and not show above on home story? That is if you are using AC21+
