Could anybody willing to share to their workflow with interior design using ARCHICAD. And where do you get your models? And how do you optimize your scene since interior design tends to bulk up the ARCHICAD file?
Pros generally use programs like Sketchup, Autocad, Revit, Archicad, 3dsMax, maybe something like Chief Architect or Vectorworks. Specs might be written in a program like Spexx or just with old-fashioned Excel documents.

Sketchup is probably the only free offering but all of the Autodesk products can be downloaded for free if you're just using them for educational purposes. So you can have Autocad or Revit or Max, you just can't use them for legitimate work.

Obtain a base building to hotlink in its entirety to your working file. IFC or PLN. The base building becomes aworkyard in which you add your stuff.
