How do you model joints in a metal panel clad wall?

Anonymous

Doing a rendering with Archicad and Cinerender, and need to get a running bond type pattern of metal panel joints to show up in the rendering.

Any suggestions on how to go about this? Or do I just literally have to model each panel with a thin wall or slab and place them all?

If it is just the rendering you want to see the joins in then you will need to modify your surface material.
You will need a bump map to define the joins.
Have a look at some of the default brick surfaces to see how it can be done.
