I'm having trouble hatching materials in archicad 12. I want to hatch glass, steel, and soil elements in my sections but I can't figure out how to do that. Can anyone please help?

Select the section(s) markers
Open up its settings cmd/ctrl+T
Model Display>Uncut Elements>Vectorial 3D Hatching

Check it.

Please press the profile tab and add here your AC version and OS.

Vectorial 3D hatching is checked but nothing shows up in the drawing still

Are you using a material that has a vectorial Hatching applied to it? If not, open the material you want, make a copy of it and choose a vectorial hatch.

I did as you said but I have no hatchings to choose from...there are no hatching types, just air space and fill percentages...

You may want to check your available cut fills.

that box is already checked. I unchecked it then re-checked it but still nothing.

One more thing to check is the settings in the actual "Section Settings" dialog...

Be sure that "Uniform Pens for Cut Elements" is unchecked under "Cut Elements" in the "Model Display" tab.

If checked, this option overrides the individual element cut appearance settings.

smartgurl,
Why don't you post a screenshot of your settings?
