Hi to all,

I hope somebody might help me with this,

I need to make this dome and has a rectangular base, what is the best way to build it?
The picture that is attached is dome during the process of construction, it has a rectangular base of 4.5 mts x 5 .5 mts. with a height of 1.10 mts.

Thanks!

Never mind... It's a macro that is in the original object in the object depository and I didn't add in zip file on the link I gave.

Here is the complete set for Mesh3d...

BTW you can create and edit as many nodes as you want in the "grid size" menu.

You'll have to edit the corner and mid hotspots in 2d to your project dimensions.
Once the perimeter is defined you can add as nodes as you want according to the exact shape that you want.
Note that this presets are just a starting point to help you get to your final shape.
Hope that helps.

One last question Braza,
How do I control the height of my dome?
thanks!

Uniform height, because of what I see, I have to give each node a height, is this correct?
Is there a way to give the center of the dome a height and the lower corner points their height also?
thanks again

Yes Mario. You have first to reduce the fixed and editable nodes do 3...
So you will be with just 4 corner, 4 mid and a center point hotspots.
Then you define the perimeter and the max height of you dome with them.
Finally you add more nodes to give the fine tune.
It's all there... Play a while with the object and you will see it's easy.

Thanks again Braza, I did it!
What I did to control the surface was as you said it to start with 3 points and once it was set, I just increased the number of nodes and number of grid spots and it's almost perfect!
Thanks again!
