How to use meshs for residetial lawns

Have you searched the archive? There must be quite a bit on this subject.

I find the simplest method is to draw the contours with the spline tool and magic wand them to the mesh (watch the magic wand settings to avoid too many - or too few - nodes). The contours can then be elevated to the correct heights by selecting the elevate button on the pet palette (the rightmost one) and selecting "Apply to all" in the dialog. This is unfortunately available in plan view only. In 3D you can only adjust the nodes one at a time.
I use the mesh tool for the garage slab, sidewalks, patio, as well as the existing terrain and back fill.
