INTEL MAC AND PC

Will my ArchiCAD file, drawn on an Intel Mac be able to open completely fine on a PC? My office has these two platforms and I dont know if they are compatible yet? Is it supposed to be able to work?

I work with both Mac & Windows (even in the same machine), for myself and with my clients, and I have had little trouble with cross platform compatibility. The only issue I have run into is with libraries and network paths, but this is easily managed.

BUT IS THAT AN "INTEL" MAC, I KNOW IT WOULD WORK WITH THE OLDER MAC VERSIONS, BUT THE NEW INTEL MAC IS A DIFFERENT ARCHICAD INSTALLATION... I'M NOT SURE ITS COMPATIBLE

Read my post and signature. And turn off the caps lock.

the windows and mac versions have been different installations for years . . . but the file type has always been compatible! we work here in an office that is a mix of PPC and intel macs . . . each can open the others files.

and yes: please turn capslock off - there is no need to 'shout'!

okay, every time we open a file on a different computer, several library parts are missing....if we try to reload the library manager, nothing changes. Is there a way to allow everyone in the office to exchange files easily w/o having to go through and replace each marker every time?

the files aren't the problem: your library management is. do a search through this forum: different library management solutions have been discussed many times before. you should be able to find one that suits your particular needs.
