Imported Images (Figures) Disappearing

I have a job where I need to utilise alot of manually drawn details.

Instead of redrawing them, I've imported them into their own detail windows, set the scale, then referenced them into the Layout Book.

In concept and 90% of practice this works fine (slows the file down big time, but works). There are a few figures that just sporadically disappear. Don't know why.

These are the different combinations:

- Shows in layout book but doesn't plot
- doesn't show in layout book, but visible in detail window
- not visible in either.

Any ideas?

Just in case you were wondering (seeing as I can tell there is a huge demand for the answer out there ) - I fixed the problem by taking the images and reducing their resolution (in Photoshop) from 600 to 300dpi.

So there you go - you can all sleep better now.
