Is Eratic Mac Window Behavior Fixed in 11?

The Mac behavior is very annoying since the Archicad GUI is made up of separate floating palettes The floating
drawing windows get maximized under the top floating menu bar upon first opening a file. I
have to slide down the menu bar icon strip and the grab the top of the drawing window and pull it down,
then slide the menu bar back up under the file menu.

Archicad is the only program with which I have this problem. As you know Apple has made available a
pane style API much like modern windows programs. In fact all of Apple's programs use the modern
pane style GUI. Adobe still uses a floating palette / window GUI but it never exhibits the problems
that Archicad displays. I think it is the result of some old code still being there from OS9 days.

I also have a problem when I unplug my Macbook from the 20" display and back again after a meeting.
The palettes do not return to the edges of the 20" display but stay grouped to fit the Macbook size screen.
I then have to go to environment and recall a Samsung 20-" profile setting.

These are some of the daily irritations and I hope they will get serious about the modern Mac API
guidelines.

While Archicad doesn't automatically seek the extents of displays when they change, have you made any effort to park your dialogs where you want them for each different display using custom Palette Schemes?

I've got the same problem with AC10 and have learned to put up with it.

I have the saved profiles for each display which requires a lot of dialog boxes to click through. The window tucking problem occurs on every opening of Archicad regardless of the profile scheme.

Graphisoft MUST go back and tighten up Archicad instead of just giving new features - although I like new features too. I imagine the Leopard preview in June will provide plenty of time for Archicad 12 Mac to get in shape. Wish we could get an update for 11.
