Is there any way to crop in AC

I have been working on a drawing that has an optional Bathroom confuguration and I was wondering of there was any way to marquee the area drag a copy of it into the blank space around the plan and make crop items that cannot be trimmed such at the stairs. Thanks guys (and ladies)

Use the detail tool to create a copy of the selected items. If necessary you can copy the lines in the detail window back to the floorplan.

You could explode everything.... but that's kind of dangerous, since it will all be linework with to original to rebuild from....

I believe that ArchiRuler from Cigraph has an option to delete items outside of a marquee. (Plus other useful tools, as well.)

What do you mean by this? I didn't think stairs could be split. Also when I tried to explode my stairs do I could trim them down, the stairs wouldn't do it. Not sure what the difficulty is there. Any Ideas?
