Loosing pet palette

Hello all, i am a long time archicad user.
I have a problem, using archicad 14, i seem to always loose the "edit/properties' box, (the one that pops up when you click on a node, wall, object etc allowing you to copy/move/strech..

it appears for a split second that disappears, i have to click on the item/node, hold my mouse then hover over the button/function i want and then unclick.. EXTREMLY ANNOYING when working with curtain walling.

it only happens when i am using my laptop with out an external screen hooked up. When i have an external screen hooked up it works fine.

its intermittent, my only solve so far is to uninstall and reinstall archicad, done it 5 times now, getting sick of it.

any help???

Have you tried to change the pet pallet movement in the work environment settings? If you set the preferred position on the external monitor it is probably remembering that position.

THanks for the help, sorry for the late reply..

the problem is i assume its off the screen, but i have no way to put it back on the screen...

the odd thing is that when i first click it if i dont let go of the click it stays on my screen untill i let go...

my only fix i could do was to make it 'follow curser'.. which i hate but it seems my only option with out installing archicad again everytime i use my laptop with out an external screen..

Hello,

I just noticed the same thing. On a quick inspection, it seems that the palette really does disappear when using the new tools. Namely the shell tool and the multi-roof, whatever it is in english.
When using the old tools (eg. line, wall, mesh etc) the palette stays visible.
This happens when using the 'follow cursor' setting in work environment settings. Seems like a bug to me...
The way around it, as cumbersome it is, is to hold your click, then drag your cursor above the option in the palette. Or just choose the other setting in Work environment. The one where the palette does not follow the cursor...
(My sig is old, using AC15 FULL FI)

EDIT: oh. Just noticed the OP is using AC14. Seems that this behaviour is evident in that version too...
