THE WAY I SHOW THE PLATES IS TO USE FOUR TRIANGLE SHAPED FILLS THAT DON'T QUITE TOUCH SO THAT I SEE THE "X" WITH A RECTANGLE AROUND IT IN SECTION.Jesikuh, I am very interested in what other methods people are using to show framing in section. I'm working on one now that uses objects I've scripted (plates, studs, headers etc.) They separate and show nicely in section. Is there a reason that you would use triangle shaped fills instead of a couple of lines? I brought all this up because I haven't found a good wall framing tool and am looking for ideas.

I presume he uses four separated fills so that they don't all heal when they touch. If you use different opposing fills (such as air space and empty fills), there's no need to include a space.
