Multiple Window Sashes - HELP!

Afternoon everyone.

Could somebody please advise me how I can add a window that has more than 4 sashes, 6 to be exact, but is still capable of making each sash openable if required?

As you can see from the attached screen grab, I currently have to use 2 separate windows with 3 sashes on each to achieve this, which is problematic when it comes to generating my window schedule.

Thanks in advance...

Paul

I'm guessing this might be an unsolvable problem then guys? Not normally so much radio silence!

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

You can create custom windows using CadImage's window tool. I heard it's possible to create windows using ArchiCAD's library tool, but I'm not sure.

For now, if you just want a 3D or 2D view of it, you could just put a string of 1 panel single windows... unless you want it to show up in the schedule, then that will be a problem.

Just spotted this on Google:

I am clearly not the first to identify this as a problem, as the above post was started in 2010! What I don't understand is why Graphisoft haven't sorted this issue out in the embedded library. Why is it still a separate add-on?

Very frustrating!

That window is developed by CadImage I see. Though I don't think you can download it as a single file... let me see if I have it in my library already. Though am I allowed to share it

Well, here's the only CadImage window I found. It's said to be highly customizable, though I haven't used it before.

So are you going to use it?

I am using AC15, so I don't have that option in my library unfortunately. It's ok though thanks Alex, I will just use a ribbon window, and draw the opening lines, and cills etc. manually myself.

Cheers for the help.

Modular Joinery Object is a special tool for making custom windows and doors. Maybe with some work you can make this do what you want. I've used it before but not with v15-16 so ymmv.

Thanks, but it is not available in AC15.
