I need to show a ledger stone wall in elevation. In the past I think I have just drawn a small section and used the drag/multiply to fill in the rest of the area. I will never be able to remember what job to open to find it:-)
Thanks

Instruction can be found in the on-line help - search for "Create or edit symbol fill".
Once you have created the fill you can create (or edit) a material that has that hatch pattern attached so you can simply attach it to your walls by assigning the correct material.
You must allow for vectorial hatching to be turned on in your elevation settings.
Barry.

I need to show a ledger stone wall in elevation.
It has 20 or so seamless stone fill patterns.

In this help screen, that Barry listed:
file:///C:/Program%20Files/Graphisoft/ArchiCAD%2016/Help/Files/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm#href=04_Documentation.07.016.html,
what should be explained by the G.S. statement:
"Note: The fill’s screen-only bitmap pattern must be edited manually:"
That it only applies if you have vectorial hatching off.
It's not required to have your new Symbol fill show correctly when vectorial hatching is on and so I don't even mess with it usually.
