No Hatch Around Text.

Hai,

I have a text in my living room, now i want to show some hatching in the room. But the problem is that my text and the hatch were overlapping, In autocad we can set not to have a hatch around the text. Is this possible in AC9? Presently what i am doing is I am selecting the hatch and redrawing the hatch around the text, so that there is no hatch around the text.

Is there any better solution?

you can give the text a background fill to mask the main fill
