OFFSET COMMAND

Not applicable
I am new to Archicad but am fluent in Autocad. My question is, can I draw a polyline that is the outside of my building shape and then offset it 6" or so to show my foundation wall on a slab plan?

I am using Achicad 10.

Thanks!
Catherine

Yes. If you have already drawn your polyline, select it, click on a node and use the "Offset all edges" option from the pet palette. (This image, shaded button)

If you are drawing a new polyline and want to offset it from where you draw it, use the offset option from the Control Box palette (next image), draw the polyline, double click your last point, then it will ask you for the offset direction and distance.

Control Box palette (go to Window/ Palettes/ Control Box to turn it on)
