Opening tool overhead floor plan display

Hi,

we model our slabs as floors. When I place an opening with the opening tool, it displays correctly in the floor plan where the slab is placed.

The problem is, the symbol is not visible in the floor below, unless the slab it cuts is also visible. That means we would have to make both the "floor" slab and the "ceiling" slab visible. I checked and this is the way Graphisoft does it in the demo files - the "ceiling" slab is also visible as a dotted line.

Is there any way to make the symbol visible without he "ceiling" slab? (As it was when using the opening symbol object)

(I don't need any workarounds, just want to make sure there is no option "show opening symbol regardless of the host element visibility" I didn't find)

Thanks, Jan

No, the opening is a part of the slab.

If you can't see the slab, you won't be able to see the opening.

With the opening symbol object, that is a separate object not associated to the slab, so you are able to show it on multiple storeys.
