We are in the process of upgrading our project files from AC8.1 to AC9.
Some PM 3.1 layout books which were fine before, cause an immediate
crash of PM9 a second after one clicks the "open" button.
This is so far happening on two large projects. The only thing that might
be special and common about the ArchiCAD files that are linked into the
layout books is that they both make extensive use of hotlinking (flats and
stairs into buildings, buildings into main file).
Removing the offending drawings from the PM3.1 file, opening it in PM9
and then importing the same views into the layout book does seem to
solve the problem.
But does anyone know of a less labour-intensive way to fix this?
If it was me alone, I would just bite the bullet and do it. But I hate
breaking this sort of news to the entire office
