Printing PDFs from ArchiCAD9.

I've recently installed the Tiger operating system on my Mac and have noticed this problem. When I print a file to PDF from ArchiCAD9 (and only ArchiCAD), this image only partially prints and what does make it through is grayed out. I'm using Adobe 7.0. Has anyone else noticed this problem?

Are you printing or publishing? I've been told publishing is the best way. See if that helps.

I have noticed a similar situation to my printer where I have only been getting partial prints. No Tiger driver available yet . Does it work using the native PDF abilities in the operating system? Just out of curiosity why are you using Adobe to create your PDF's versus the native ones that are part of OSX?

I'm using the Adobe PDF printer driver that comes with Acrobat professional because I was under the impression that results were superior to Mac OSX's printer driver. Everything was fine running under Panther. It's only been since I've switched to Tiger that I've had a problem. I get the same result whether I print the PDF or publish the PDF.

I had this exact same problem just the other day.

I resolved this way.

In AC, I usually create PMK's of everything to be printed, rather than importing directly from AC each time. Takes a little bit extra time for Plotmaker to fully load, but I find it to be a lot easier and faster than importing directly from AC.

However, no matter which way it is done, to resolve the problem, I had to create a ViewSet of all views in AC. Don't know why as I didn't have to do this before the latest build. After the ViewSet is created, I then create my PMK's as before.

In Plotmaker, I import the PMK files rather than importing directly from AC. Then if necessary I create PDF's in Plotmaker.

Something quirky in the latest build of AC. I never had to create ViewSets before but now have to in order to get Plotmaker to print properly.

Yes, you are correct, there is something quirky going in the latest build of PlotMaker: http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=6782
