The yellow represents your Pattern Unit, which is the pattern that repeats itself within the fill. Yours is simply much too large. Scale it down. I recommend doing this at a scale of 1:1 and setting the origin on the project origin. It should only be a few inches/cm wide.

Thanks for the response Link
I just tried resizing the fill, i scaled it way down so it's only a 70mm x70mm square (it was only 700 x 700 before) and the problem still persists. I've tried resetting the origin as well, and nothing is changing. I've even tried it in a brand new empty file, and same result

Does the fill pattern contain arcs? Is the screenshot identical after scaling it down? Uploading a zipped module file would certainly help.

Seems you missed step 1 in the process you referred to.
"Draw a pattern using Lines, Arcs and Hotspots."
You've used Polylines. You can reduce these to lines using the Edit> Reshape> Linework Consolidation... command or simply redraw them.
Hope that helps.

One of my first posts to (the old) ArchiCAD-Talk explained how I figured out that if you take your cursor all the way around the edge of the screen you could finally place it in the X coordinate of the Coordinate box. Then you could enter an X direction.
Someone replied with "why not hit the X key?"
THAT was embarrassing.

Hi, I've got the identical problem, but I'm using only lines and hotspots. It's a 20" square motif, and when I click paste it does change to 20" x 20", but no lines.
