Question about rotate objects, please give a hand!

Hi guys, could anyone let me know how do i rotate an object, such as a slab vertically?? I know how to use rotate tool when i working with an object based on 2d drafting, but when i change to 3d modelling, I could not vertically rotate the object which i can only rotate horizontally.

and also please let me know does ArchiCAD 11 have any function such as Edit Mesh which 3dsMax has.
