License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please somebody tell me how to wrap text object around a cylinder in 3d.
or any other way of doing it.

It could be scripted in GDL by extracting the letters one by one and arranging them on a curve. Or, you could take the manual approach and place individual library parts for each letter.

There is no way that I know to simply distort or wrap 3D elements.

If all you need is a flat poster, take a screen shot of the text and apply it as a texture. This will only work for rendered views though.

I used the individual letter approach until Archiforma came along.

... it doesn't need to be just flat! Use an inverted grey-scale image for the bump map and hey hoo you've got bumpy letters

PS. I find that the more developed my 'bump map creation' skills are getting there are many less details that I'm modelling in Archicad.
