Lilian,
I think it could be useful to go through one or more of the free ArchiCAD Interactive Training Guides.

http://www.graphisoft.com/education/training_guides/

I would recommend starting with these two:

3. Experience BIM
4. ArchiCAD Essentials.

4.5 was a very long time ago, so much has changed since it is no wonder it may seem like a completely new software to learn.

Also, I find that the search tool embedded on the forum a bit weak. You may want to bookmark this site archicadstuff.blogspot.com/
It has a google search of this forum as well as several other locations and tends to find posts a bit better.
Thanks Erich,
I just tried the search at archicadstuff.blogspot.com and found it to give me better results than the search feature here on ArchiCAD Talk.
