I make a wall with a composite fill and I create a detail with the composite fill visible (determined by the model view option). For the source plan view I dont want to see the composite so I use another model view option.
When I change the model and rebuild the detail (right clicking on the detail in the navigator without opening the detail), the composite disappears (the model view option is correct though).
If I open the detail and then right click on the detail in the navigator and rebuild from source view, the copmposite fill remains.
Is this a feature or a bug?
Cheers,
Mats

When you rebuild a detail, Archicad uses whatever Model View Options you have set at that time. If you have fills turned off, they will not be in the detail.

Hi Mats
Looks like you've found yourself a bug. By rebuilding this way the model view option combination is still being invoked, but the detail is still showing incorrectly. Another rebuild from source view in the detail window fixes it, but it's worth reporting.
Regards to the team up there.
Cheers,
Link.

I thought I felt an itch on my body... I will report it to GS. Thanks for confirming it Link! I'm pretty tired after an excellent IPC in Prague. Lots of positive energy, good mood, good food, good weather, nice people, beautiful city and good stuff from GS and others.

another aspect of this is that archicad should rebuild the source view at the scale of the detail window itself . combined with GLOB_CONTEXT it would give someone who wanted it the capability to build detailed 2D window/door heads/jambs/sills and have that information display in details without messing up the larger-scale model views . . .
