Ridge Capping Incline Angle

I am trying to find or learn how to use a steel profile ridge capping along a ridge at a incline angle. I have a profile from lysaght but it doesn't have incline is there a way to edit it or adjust it?

Thanks in Advance

If you are using ArchiCAD 10, one option is to copy the profile to the Profile Manager, store it as a new profile and check the Use with: Beam icon. You can then use the beam tool with this custom profile, the beams can be inclined. There are other methods that utilize GDL, this one does not.

Tony, you may use my part.
Side flashing will adjust to suit roof pitch when used in either hip, ridge, or gable location.
It will do roll top metal or tiled profiles.
PM me if you need more info.

It is for AC10.

FYI if the library part is saved as a Roof(accessory) subtype it will automatically follow the angle of the roof even when adjusted.

To get Rod's object to work in this manner it would need some tweaking but I suspect not too much. For instance change the parameter w (roof pitch to zero and in the Master script write w=AC_pitch and the barges and ridges will work. Further investigation is need to get the hips working.

John, when is a ridge at an incline not a hip? The maths is the same.
The part is not the most elegant of scripting, but that's what results
when you cannibalise a part in order to have the side flashing take the slope of the roof it sits on.
I've been placing hips/fly hips without problems to date.

Currently trying to get my mind around the maths to place hip flashing
and have the side flashing parts slope at the respective roof plane
when 2 different roof pitches meet.
