Could any one help me to understand why my Roof is being shown only partially?
Thanks,

Because your cut plane is cutting through it. Try raising the cut plane up over the top of the ridge and you will see the whole roof properly. You may need to save a view like that otherwise the cutplane will probably be too high for your other plans.

Joseph,
Something I don't understand.
It seems like you have set the line type
for overhead lines to solid and the line type
for contour lines to dashed. As far as I know
this is opposite to conventional standards.
If this is a normal hip roof that is.
Thank you,
Peter Devlin

I thought the same thing at first Peter, but the roof pivot lines indicate that it is a normal hip roof. I think we need more information, like what story it's on, what elevation it is at, and the roof's floor plan display options.

Cheers,

Your dashed line indicates floor plan display problems to me. I would suggest setting your floor plan display options to:

Show on Stories: All Relevant Stories
Floor Plan Display: Projected with Overhead
Show Projection: Entire Element

That should get you to a place where you can make more sense of it.

Hello Link,
There is one way to get a "hip roof" to look like that
and it is to make the slope angle of all of the roofs negative.
But then you get a hopper roof which is why I said
"If this is a normal roof, that is".
As you say, we need more information.
Thanks,
Peter Devlin
