Roof Tile "Linetype"?

I'm in need of having a "custom" roof tile "styled" linetype.
One that can stretch and increase in symbolic roof tiles.

Anyone of you know how to accomplish this?
I'm in need of a linetype in this shape because I don't/can't add an entire roof of "actual spanish" type tiles...it'll kill the model.

thanks.

here's the article...very informative but...I'd like for the linetype to insert from the bottom plane (see graphics).

The trick is to place a hotspot the same distance but in the opposite direction as the height of your line symbol.
Then copy this together with the lines to paste in your symbolic line.

I could say I am really clever.
But I just read it here somewhere - or maybe even in the old forum before this one.

Interesting, we've got 2D library parts for this in the Dutch subscription library. They are stretchy and follow the handful of 'standards' we have, with variable distance.

Seems they were scripted by Kubus rather than Graphisoft.

This bit works pretty much the same.

anyway you can put a file up which contains those linetypes so we can all use them? that'd be very helpful.
