Roof / Wall Connection

Bob Moore
Enthusiast
I've just begun working in AC 18 and noticed a odd thing about the roof connection. In my attachment, you can see I have a single shed roof with a bearing at the top outside corner of the wall below. Although this is the pivot point AC 18 eliminates part of the roof and lines up the top edge of the roof with the face of the wall. You really can't build this(and if you did you would have water problems). Since the top outside face of the wall is the pivot point why doesn't AC rotate the wall from there? I know I can work around this but it would be unnecessarily cumbersome. Am I missing some setting quirk?

Thanks.

I think it would be great to have the Reference Plane option available for Roofs that is also already available for Slabs: Top, Bottom, Core Top, Core Bottom.
Plus commands to relocate the Reference Plane while the the body of the Roof stays in place.

I actually created a wish about this so please vote for it if you think it is important:
