hello again everyone,
i have been looking now for hours but cannot find the right info...
i am using a slab to cut horizontally via SEOs to decrease the height of some walls so that in 3d i can 'see' into a room that otherwise would have a wall in front of it.
my problem is that i am finding SEO to be a bit inconsistent - when a wall that is being SEO'd has doors/windows, sometimes the doors/windows are cut (to the same height as the wall) and sometimes they are not (i.e. the wall is cut but the window/door remains full height).
is there a setting that determines whether doors and windows should/should not be cut?
I just tested it and the window cut right along with the wall. I am not aware of any settings to control this so I would guess that it is either problems with the library parts or a bug. Does it consistently cut certain types of doors and windows and not others?
I cannnot say exactly which ones, but I know that I have seen SEOs sometimes only cut parts of a window, with a random piece of frame or mullion left uncut.
thanks for the replies. to answer your question Matthew, and to confirm what you both have said, it is very random. instances of the same window/door with the same settings but in different locations are cut differently. the only way around this is to manually adjust the height of the wall only.
