This has been asked by many others, before you, but I think it always leads to a geometrically incorrect representation.
It can only work for zero-depth sections.
How do you think ArchiCAD have to manage elements that are at different distance from the section plane, when the "plane" is concave or convex?
To better explain this point, I attach a simple example, where single sections lines are joined in plan, and the views from them are joined in the layout.
Other than the wall length, that you can see how different is in the front and back sections, you can notice that the square column is displayed twice (due to the overlapping projection of the section planes) and the round one has disappeared (convex section planes = divergent views = missing portions).
