I've tried searching but haven't been able to find anything to do with this, but is there any way to make the background in a section (the blue fill I'm using, sent to back) behind all the other objects? i.e. the trees as shown in the attached without having to add an individual fill to each thing I want to keep (like the white at the bottom)
Does it help if you set the uncut surfaces in the elevation settings to have a uniform pen colour?
Then choose the pen colour you want.
You will still need to send your background fill to the rear.
