Selected items in 3D don't stay selected after editing

Does anyone know why anything i select in 3D will not stay selected after I make a change? I have to reselect in order to make more changes on the info box. This did not happen in AC11 so maybe it is a preference that I am missing?

I am getting this too, even after the last hotfix. It would be great to have this fixed or to know where the correct setting is if I am missing something.

Maybe I am missing something but mine stay selected. Anyway, Undo and Redo can be used as a work around AFAIK.

If Burghitect(no sig) is Mac, then so far only mac posters reporting this?

I am using Os X and it is working fine. But I am in 10.5.5 and he might be using another version or probably Windows ME, sorry Vista.

hmm that's interesting about 10.5.... it may be related i guess
regardless... this has been a complete grind for me today... and it's not limited in 3D window (actually often when in 3D things work better) it's happening on plan: i select something and holding shift i wanna add to my selection, i get the pause/beachball and it may or may not work; i try to pick up properties and because it's sooo slow pausing etc it ends up selecting rather than picking up properties; i zoom in and out and although whatever i selected appears selected, the info box is empty!

I am using a Mactel with OS 10.5.5. it also happens in section/elevation views.

This happens to me in plan, section, elevation, and 3D. I didn't notice until I'd installed the hotfix. Before that, I didn't yell at my machine nearly as often, so I'm assuming that the Info Box maintained the info for the selected item before the hotfix.

Just trying to be more like Revit 😉
