Shell tool - different materials on each face?

I used the shell tool to profile the edge of this curving roof. The shell is really making making some things easier. Yet how can I make the fascia material to show different?

Nice modelling!

To change the material of a single edge, the process is exactly the same as for a slab or roof. In the 3d window or floorplan click the edge you want to edit, then on the pet palette choose the 'Edit Contour Edge' button.

This even works if you have redefined the shells boundary or added holes, but not for SEO formed edges (as far as I can tell). You still have to use the 'Inherit Attributes of Operator' setting in the SEO dialog.
