Slabs behind walls, columns...

In a plan view in plot maker, the slabs are indicated through the walls and columns, and i can't seem to get them to hide correctly. If one has a solid filled grey or white wall, column, or other 3d construct above a slab, and it is brought to the front, it has always been hiding that which is behind. That is the way it appears on the screen. Yet, when plotted, all items below the walls, columns, etc., show up in the print.

In plot maker, as a work around (as i am trying to get this presentation out today...) I drew a matching fill over the areas in question to see if it will hide that which is behind. And it doesn't.

Strange issue, and if anyone has any advice, i'd LOVE to hear it!

Do you notice any other masking problems with other fills in the drawing?

Just throwing out an idea...
In "Options/Preferences/Miscellaneous" - Is "Fill Background Color:" set to "All Fills Transparent"?

And what are "Fills:" set to in "Display Options"?

Another possibilty; How old is your plotter? Some older plotters don't support the fills used for masking other elements. If everything looks fine in PlotMaker but plots transparent, then I suspect that this is the problem.

The plotter seems to be a reasonable thought, as it is an HP 750C. The preferences and display options all seem to be in order to accomplish the goal.

We're using an "HP 650C" plotter driver with our "Xerox 8850". And we don't seem to be having a problem. ... Yet.
