So the final question is: How do I get my slabs to show up using the detail tool??

I've been messing with this problem for several months now. Everytime that I try to create a working detail with the "detail tool" it creates a separate window, like its suppose to, but not everything is transfered in. For example, there are a few details, most of them, that don't include the floor slabs. so there is just a big empty space in there. Even when I turn on all the layers, nothing comes up. What's also weird is that on a particular detail, I have a slab, acting as a canopy overhang, and it shows up perfectly fine. It's the darnedest thing.
So the final question is: How do I get my slabs to show up using the detail tool??
P.s. How do I change the line type of the box surrounding the marked out detail? There doesn't seem to be a setting for it.

Is it possible that you have 2 slabs in exactly the same position? They may be canceling each other out.
(BTW I see you posted in Student forum too, you can delete that one before someone replies to it. Double posting is generally frowned upon, and this is probably the better location for it.)

Are you sure that you don't have two or more slabs in the same space?

Everything is A-OKAY. I'm not sure what the deal was, but all of a sudden, it started working. I didn't have multiple slabs or anything double. I just used the pen set, and the correct model view to the exactness of the drawing I was taking the detail from. All in all, it worked out fine. Thanks for the help though.
